In our handicraft in Kozani we make wooden hives for beekeepers. The outer part of the hives is made of fir wood. The wood is clean and dry (ie dry), which means that the wood is not torn and warped.
The inside of the hive frames are made of pine wood and are made in a tray, and not in a ribbon, so as to avoid injuries to the hives. We have 10-frame cells with a new ‘Australian’ type lid, 10-frame cells with an old ‘nomadic’ type lid, a 5-frame cell, a triple cell, wooden roof feeders for cells with a new type lid and wooden feeders with a wooden lid.
