• Bee and Beekeeping technique Book -ISBN: 960-85777-0-5, beekeeping is the branch of entomology, which deals with the study of the life of the bee (Apis mellifera L.), both in theory and in practice. This study starts from the biology and ecology of the bee to the care and full exploitation of this amazing insect.
• The material of the book was classified into sixteen (16) chapters. The first nine (9) chapters include bee biology, which studies the classification and breeds of bees, their development, morphology and physiology, diet, activities and behavior, genetics, bee improvement and crop pollination.
• The tenth chapter describes the main beekeeping plants of Greece, giving for each one information about its beekeeping value and often special manipulations for their exploitation.
• The last six (6) chapters (11th to 16th) include the technical (practical) part of the book, where along with the necessary theoretical presentation (infrastructure) the best methods for each case are explained. It describes the beekeeping equipment, the beekeeping manipulations, the various methods of queen production, the products of the hive, the diseases and the enemies of the bees and finally the poisoning of the bees by pesticides.
