Traditional wooden vessel where milk was poured and shaken until it became butter.
They placed two ropes in the barrel slots and hung it horizontally.
Then they beat it on the top and bottom sides, shaking the barrel, until they had the desired effect.
Butter making instructions:
We collect the milk and let it sour for a few days. Fill your barrel (maximum 1/3 of the barrel) with the milk. Then hang it and start beating it on both sides so that the contents shake for a long time. The end result is pieces of fat (butter) and buttermilk.
